For using this feature you require access to an Expert license and the only other prerequisite for this is to be part of a company account in One Click LCA.
See more info on how to create and manage a company account here.
Who can access the folders I and my colleagues create?
All folders are automatically accessible to all the users that are part of the same company account in One Click LCA. Users added to a company account at any point get automatic access to the company’s folders.
Who can access the projects inside the folders?
Project-level access rights are not affected by this feature. This means that all the members of the company account can access the same folders, but this does not mean that they can also access the same projects inside these folders. For a user to be able to access a project, they need to be added to the specific project. Read more on project-level access rights here.
How can I move projects between folders or directly save new projects inside an existing folder?
Users can move projects between folders from the main page of the software. Each project tile in the Tile view or project row in the List view has a button with a folder icon that opens the list with the folders that the project can be moved to. Additionally, when users create a new project they can choose the folder that the project is getting added to through the project creation menu.
What happens with the projects to which users from multiple companies have been added to?
All users can still access all their projects as earlier.
Users from one company account can not see the folders of other company accounts. Additionally, the same project can be for example in different folders for different companies if users from different companies have access to it.
For example, there can be a case where User A from Company A and User B from Company B share a project. User A can move the shared project to one of Company A’s folders, and User B from Company B will still see the shared project on the main page. User B can also move the shared project to one of Company B’s folders without affecting User A.
Who can create folders?
In order for a user to be able to create a folder, they need to:
- Be a Main user in a company account. See more info on how to manage the user rights in the company account here.
- Occupy an Expert license (have an Expert named-user license linked to their user account or check out a floating Expert license seat)"
Who can rename and delete folders?
In order for a user to be able to rename or delete a folder, they need to:
- Be a Main user in a company account. See more info on how to manage the user rights in the company account here.
Who can access the projects in the folders, move projects between folders, and create projects inside the folders?
Any user of the same company account in One Click LCA.
What happens if I delete a folder?
When you delete a folder, all the projects move back to the main page. When deleting folders mind that there can be projects in the folder that you don’t have access to, so the folder can look empty to you, but it might not be in practice. Both the number of total projects in the folder and the number of projects in the folder that is available to you personally are shown on the main page.
