To use the tools and features you purchased in One Click LCA, you need to link your license(s) to your project. This tells the system what you have access to.
Two Types of Licenses
- Main License: This is your primary license (Business, Expert, or Carbon Strategy) and gives you access to embodied carbon tools for unlimited projects.
- Certification Add-on: If you purchased this add-on, you can work on a specified number of certification projects (like LEED or BREEAM). Most customers only have a 'main' license.
Linking Your Main License
- Start a New Project: Create a new project of the type covered by your license.
- Link Your License: On the project creation page, you'll see your main license listed. Select it.
- Complete Project Setup: Fill in the required information and create your project.
If you create a new project, you can also link your license at the bottom of the project creation page:
Linking Your Certification Add-on License
If you have a certification add-on, you need to link both your main license and the add-on to your project:
- Link Your Main License: Follow the steps above to link your main license first.
- Link Your Add-on: You can link the add-on license in a couple of ways:
- Project Creation Page: At the bottom of the page where you create the project.
- Project Main Page: Go to your project's main page and look for "More actions" > "Modify". (also works for linking your commercial license to expired trial projects)
- Project Creation Page: At the bottom of the page where you create the project.
Important Notes
- License Names: Main licenses usually look like this: "Company (CountryCode) Business/Expert, # users". Add-on licenses usually look like this: "Company (CountryCode) Business/Expert add-on, Certification add-on, # projects".
- Wrong Project Type: If you don't see any licenses listed, double-check that you've selected the correct project type.
- Trial Projects: If you started with a trial project, you can link your purchased license(s) to it by going to "More actions" > "Modify".
By following these steps, you'll ensure you have access to all the One Click LCA tools and features you need for your project.
