What can One Click LCA Planetary be used for?

One Click LCA Planetary allows you to benchmark cradle-to-gate embodied carbon impacts and materials efficiency of different design options, different materials, manufacturers and products. You can compare differences between concrete, steel and wood structures, or simply differences in structural design options using the same material, or differences in product EPDs.

 

One Click LCA Planetary can be used to power embodied carbon and materials efficiency policies as well as individual design, construction and procurement decisions.

 

What data does One Click LCA Planetary include?

One Click LCA Planetary covers the ten most carbon-intensive and significant materials categories in construction. These are cement, ready-mix concrete, precast concrete, steel, aluminium, gypsum, bricks, insulation, glass and wood. In addition, the software includes selected essential assemblies.

One Click LCA Planetary includes global generic (average) data, as well as manufacturer-specific, third-party verified EPDs. New EPDs are constantly being added, and you can request manufacturers to develop them for inclusion using One Click LCA Pre-Verified EPD Generator. All data in the software undergoes One Click LCA’s rigorous data verification and qualification process that guarantees consistency and robust assessments.

One Click LCA Planetary does not include databases that are licensed for a fee. Those are available only in the paid versions of the software.

One Click LCA Planetary does not support certification compliance (LEED, BREEAM, HQE, etc.), which is available in paid versions.

 

What about all the other construction materials categories?

The free One Click LCA Planetary provides the ten construction materials categories that have the highest carbon and materials use impact. All existing construction material categories, including speciality products, civil works products, building technology, building chemicals, finishing products and furniture are available in paid One Click LCA versions.

 

Does One Click LCA Planetary have a BIM integration?

The free One Click LCA Planetary does not provide BIM integrations. Those are available in paid One Click LCA Business and higher packages. See commercial plans.

Can One Click LCA Planetary be used to calculate new EPDs?

One Click LCA Planetary in itself does not calculate EPDs, but it connects to the upcoming One Click LCA Pre-Verified EPD Generator, which allows calculating and publishing third-party verified EPDs time- and cost-efficiently for key manufacturing sectors.

How is One Click LCA Planetary different from paid versions of One Click LCA?

One Click LCA commercial versions remain the most advanced building LCA software on the market, and we have a multi-million-euro investment program to expand this leadership. The commercial versions continue to be the only ones supporting regulatory or certification compliance, working with ancillary building materials, such as building systems, BIM integration or advanced ecodesign. One Click LCA add-on modules such as Carbon Designer are reserved for commercial users as well.
