Advanced Material Comparison

This feature allows you to make ad hoc materials comparisons without having to create a range of designs. These calculations do not interact with any designs in any way. They can be used for example to choose the best flooring material without having to create a set of designs for flooring.

 

How do you use this feature?

This feature is easily accessed from the Building Materials query of your project. You can also access the comparison from the front page of your project.

 

Step 1: Go to Building Materials query and select resources for the comparison

Option 1: Select data from material search and then click on 'Compare Data' button to save your selection and see the comparison.

Option 2: You can also add materials to the comparison from the option in the data card.

 

 

Step 2: Select 'Compare Data' from the top of your Building Materials query.

 

 

Remember to save your data before opening the comparison page as this will take you away from your Building Materials query and you may lose any unsaved data.

 

In the opened page you are able to see data per life cycle module for your selected materials. Same type of materials are shown on one graphic, so you can easily inspect the differences between their impacts.

 

 

On this page, you can also click on 'Edit data' to search and add more materials to your comparison.
