One Click LCA provides user-based licenses, which means that in order to access and work with a project, the user needs a valid license. We have three main license types available: Starter, Business, and Expert. Based on the license level, the user can access a range of software features. You can read more about what features are included in our license types here.
If you have manager access to a project you will be able to add users with three different authorisation options:
- Read-only, granting the user access to view the project data.
- Modifier, granting the user access to view and modify the project data.
- Manager, granting the user access to the entire project, including modifying the existing data, deleting project information, and adding other users.
How do I work with another user who has a license under the same company account?
If your company has purchased several user licenses then you will have the right to add those users to your project without sending a request to our Support. You can simply add the user from your project main page, by clicking 'Users' and providing your colleague with the necessary authorization access.
Make sure to add the email address that your colleague has used to register with One Click LCA and that is linked to the license.
How do I work with another user who has a license under a different company account?
This is possible in two ways.
- If the different license user has the same tools (indicators) on their license, you can add them to the project with read-only or modifier access.
- If the different license user has different tools on their license, please contact support.
Please notify us with the project name, the username (email address) of the person you wish to work with, and which level of access this person needs to the project. You can add read-only users to the project by yourself without needing to contact support.
How can I add my colleague or client as a read-only user when they do not have a license?
We support licensed users adding read-only users who do not require a One Click LCA license. The read-only user must have registered a One Click LCA user account, and the user cannot be upgraded to modifier or manager level. This function can also be used if the read-only user has their own license on the One Click LCA platform.
Some cases in which this is used:
- If your client needs access to the project
- If the architect or designer needs access to the project
- If a third party verifier needs access to the project
- If you need access to a reference building that has been created by another user
The user should be added in the same way as previously mentioned, clicking 'Users' and entering their email address, and then choosing 'read-only' as their authorization level. If the user had not created an account yet they can be sent a request to register with a personalized message.
Once you have added the user with read-only access, they will be marked as invited in the user list. As soon as they register, they will get access to the project and their name and email address will be visible in the user list.
Frequently asked questions
Q: I have a Business license and my colleague has an Expert license, can we work together on the same project which is on the Expert license?
A: Yes you can! You will have access to the features which are associated with your account, which means even though you are added on an Expert license project, you would keep your Business level features. The available indicators in the project are based on in which license the project is created.
Q: I have a floating license and would like to add a user who has a different (non-floating) license, is this possible?
A: Yes. Depending on the level of access they require, this is done on a case by case basis, however, most of the time it is not a problem. You can always add people with read-only access directly. When you need to add a user from a non-floating license to a project which has been created on a floating license and this person needs either modifier or manager rights, you will need to always do this through support.
