End-of-life output flows and ADP-fossil calculation issue

Incident Summary:

• On 10/10/2024 it was noticed that results in both the ecoinvent 3.8 and 3.10 tools for the end-of-life output flow indicators in some life cycle stages and ADP-fossil for TRACI 2.1 were calculated incorrectly.

Event Timeline:

• 03:00 UTC, 04/09/2024: ecoinvent 3.10 database integrated
• 19:11 UTC, 10/10/2024: Issue noticed and raised for investigation
• 03:00 UTC, 23/10/2024: Calculation corrected and issue resolved
  
  

Please note: Results are not automatically recalculated. Designs need to be resaved in order for the results to be recalculated. If you wish to retain the existing results, it is recommended to create a copy design, which will then be calculated with the correct results.

IMPORTANT! If you notice a change of more than 10% in the indicators of published EPDs due to this fix, a re-verification of the EPD may be required.

Incident Cause:

• The incident was caused due to an error during the database integration process.

Security Impact:

• The issue did not expose any users to security risks.
