Incident Summary:

• On 17th September 2024 it was noticed that results for Use of recycled/secondary materials indicator in some ecoinvent 3.10 datasets were incorrect. This only affected <0.1% of the database and users of EPD Hub V3, the Pre-verified tool for International EPD System (unreleased), and EPD Generator - Ecoinvent 3.10 (INIES & PEP).

• 03:00 UTC, 04/09/2024: ecoinvent 3.10 database integrated
• 16:12 UTC, 17/09/2024: Issue noticed and raised for investigation
• 16:35 UTC, 24/09/2024: Amended version of ecoinvent 3.10 integrated
• 14:22 UTC, 26/09/2024: Amended version of ecoinvent 3.10 released*

* Correction: Results are not automatically recalculated as initially communicated. Designs need to be resaved in order for the results to be recalculated.

Incident Cause:

• The incident was caused due to an error during the database integration process.

Security Impact:

• The issue did not expose any users to security risks.
