The below list summarizes the databases for which known specific usage restrictions apply.
The summary is not exhaustive and does not constitute legally exhaustive requirements for
users.
Ecoinvent database usage restrictions
Summary
The Ecoinvent database is subject to several restrictions on use, especially on derivative
data and unauthorized data extraction. All restrictions are detailed in ecoinvent EULA below.

INIES database usage restrictions
Summary
INIES database is only for use in France and for use within LCA, GHG accounting and
Material Flow Analysis. Using the data for classification (etiquettes, scoring etc) is prohibited.

IMPACT database usage restrictions
Summary
IMPACT© database is only for usage within the specific IMPACT-compliant tools within One
Click LCA. The data may not be extracted or modified in any way. The trademark owner of
IMPACT© is Building Research Establishment (BRE). Trademark ownership and reputation
of BRE shall be in no way tarnished by the use of the IMPACT data.
PEP ecopassport database usage restrictions
Summary
Users recognize that the data belongs to manufacturers, that users must not modify them
and users acknowledge that the data is created according to geographical constraints,
according to models or temporalities. The liability of a manufacturer cannot be called into
question in any event.
The purpose for which the data is intended and provided for is the environmental evaluation
and optimisation of new construction and renovation projects and systems, not for product
benchmarking.
UKHab data usage restrictions
Summary
The users shall not use UKHab data to create any derivative data, of any kind, or any tool or
product. The users shall not use the data for Natural England’s Small Sites Metric purposes.
